The artist was a pupil of Balthasar-Paul Ommeganck-see Henricus Josephus Antonissen, number 23, for more details. De Visser was also a pupil of Johannes Petrus van Horstock (1745-1825) in Alkmaar. Hendrik Reekers, father Johannes was also a pupil of Horstock. De Visser also worked as a portraitist. De Visser also worked as a portraitist and miniaturist1.
