In my art I endeavor to capture the unique features of rare and unusual plants to reveal the beauty of their delicate and hidden characteristics. The purpose of my art is to educate and to conserve these unique specimens.

John Pastoriza-Pinol is a renowned Botanical artist in Australia. John has a strong academic background in Botany and learnt from Jenny Phillips at The Botanical Art School of Melbourne. This school is the most comprehensive botanic art school in Australia if not the world. Recently John has been invited to teach classes at the school and at the Geelong Botanic Gardens. John has participated in many group exhibitions nationally and internationally and his work is represented in public and private collections in Australia, UK, South Africa, USA and Spain. In 2006, John mounted a successful solo exhibition of Botanical Art at Ebury Galleries, London. After consecutive medal winning exhibitions from the Royal Horticultural Society, the curator of John Adams Fine Art Ebury Galleries London invited John to mount his first solo exhibition of Botanical Art to coincide with the 2006 Chelsea Flower Show. As a result from the UK exhibition Johns work has been selected for inclusion in The Highgrove Florilegium. Johns painting of 'Forsythia intermedia' and 'Lynwood were amongst works selected by the Highgrove Florilegium.
