The inscription made by Harold Day on the verso of 1 could refer to either 'Studies of Hands and of a nude Figures' or 'Studies of Hands' in the Asmolean Museum, whilst the pose of the various hands are comparable to some of the hand studies in the Ashmolean drawings the technique is not that of Passarotti 1.
